Hi Nick,
How are you ?I am presuming that you are still Clerk to The Cordiners? Ple=
ase see below some details regarding a visit to The City Archives that The=
Dyer Craft will be making in Sept this year. Iain Flett ,The City Archivi=
st, has suggested that The Cordiners may be interested in joining us due t=
o the leather bound nature of The City Archives, and on behalf of Deacon D=
ave Herbert ,we would like to extend to your members this warm invitation.=
The normal format for these social events is to follow on for a curry and=
a beer after the tour and it would be great if some of you could join us.=

With Best Wishes
Craig McGeoghie

Craig,
As spoken. We look forward to welcoming the Dyer & Waulker Craft for a loo=
k
at the work and collections of the City Archives Thursday 2 September. We
have the use of Committee Room 3, 14 City Square, to spread ourselves out
and so we can put out some of the large plans and charters etc for
inspection. A member of staff will be at the door of 14 City Square from
530 to 545 to let you in but perhaps you could let your members know your
mobile number in case there are folk who arrive later. 14 City Square is
the one snuggled between the steps to the Marryat Hall and the steps going=

down from the Square into Crichton Street.
I have spoken to Innes Duffus, Hon Archivist of The Nine, and he's free an=
d
willing to join in to talk about the wider trades records.
I'm aware that the Cordiner craft is particularly interested in the leathe=
r
side of the archives (bookbinding). You might wish on this occasion to
extend an invitation to them for a joint meeting. Their membership is
relatively small and they're looking for ways to increase interest in thei=
r
craft.
regards
Iain Flett

Dear Ian,
As secretary to The Dyer and Waulker Craft of Dundee, our Deacon Dave
Herbert and members have expressed an interest in visiting the City
Archives for a conducted tour and insight into the working of your
department. Is this possible and if so can it be organised for an evening
sometime ,possibly in early September ? Many thanks for your consideration=

of this request.
Best Wishes
Craig McGeoghie
